Health

"If you’re interested in staying healthy as you age — and living longer — you might want to add a different set of muscles to your workout routine: your creative ones. Ongoing research suggests that creativity may be key to healthy aging. Studies show that participating in activities such as visual artistry could support the well-being of older adults and that creativity, can lead to greater openness and longevity!"

Compassion

"Arts learning positively and significantly affect students’ school engagement, college aspirations, and their inclinations to draw upon works of art as a means for empathizing with others.

In terms of compassion for others, students who received more arts education experiences are more interested in how other people feel and more likely to want to help people who are treated badly."

                      Happiness

"Recent clinical research validates what some professionals and others who work with older adults have known for years—that making art is an essential, vital component of activities that offer a wide range of health benefits. Several studies show that art can reduce the depression and anxiety that are often symptomatic of chronic diseases."
