About Me

Kathleen is an Art Teacher and freelance Photographer who has been teaching Art and Photography for over 25 years. She was an adjunct professor of Photography at various colleges for over 15 years. She has taught in schools, camps, and workshops and worked with all ages from toddlers, through college and on to senior citizens. Kathleen particularly loves working with older adults and children. She says "They are both so much fun. Older adults have so much wisdom and children are so unafraid to experiment".
She received her M.F.A. in Photography from Tyler School of Art and her B.F.A. in Visual Arts from S.U.N.Y Purchase. Her K-12 Teaching certification is from the College of New Rochelle. Kathleen received a 1996 Aaron Siskin Foundation Individual Photographer’s Grant and a 1998 New York Foundation for the Arts Individual Artist’s Fellowship, both for a project, she did photographing older adults and their earliest existing photographs.
